Guided setup walks an organisation admin from nothing to a working AI team. Open it from AIHome - the first-run hero links to it, and until setup is complete the page footer shows how far along you are. Progress is read live from your organisation’s settings, not stored per user: a step is complete because the thing it configures is actually configured, any admin sees the same state, and every step can be redone later. Members who are not admins get a read-only tour of the same checklist.

The steps

1

Connect a model

Pick the LLM the AI runs on - the Ankra default works out of the box, or bring your own key. Complete once an active provider is configured. See AI Provider and Use your own OpenRouter API key.
2

Autonomy and guardrails

Decide how far the AI may go on its own when an alert fires. Complete once the auto-remediation policy is enabled. See AI Autonomy.
3

Connections

Bind Slack or a delivery webhook so approvals and findings reach your team. Complete once Slack is connected or at least one delivery webhook is enabled. See AI Connections.
4

Proactive insights

Let the AI scan clusters continuously and raise findings before they page you - a single toggle, right in the checklist. See AI Insights.
5

Review and launch

A recap of the four steps, then straight to AI Home or the Inbox.
Each step links to the settings page that owns it, and expands in place with a Configure or Redo action - the checklist is a launcher, the settings pages stay the source of truth.

Recipes

Below the steps, admins get shortcuts for the most common next moves: teach the AI your runbooks, add an integration tool, set up a nightly cluster health agent, or build an on-alert workflow in Automations.

Availability

Guided setup ships with the AI section, which is rolling out per organisation. If you do not see AI in the sidebar, ask your Ankra contact to enable it.
