# Guided Setup

> Go from a new organisation to a live website in four steps: a free cluster, your welcome credit, where the code lives, and a website Ankra generates from one sentence.

Guided setup walks a new organisation from nothing to a website running on its own cluster, with a public address. Open it from the first-run screen (**Guided setup: a live website in ten minutes**) or go straight to `/organisation/onboarding`.

There are four steps. Each one shows its progress and remembers where you got to, so you can leave and come back.

**1. Create your cluster**

One click creates your organisation's free cluster - a [playground](/guides/cluster-sandbox.md). Playgrounds are moving to Ankra Cloud dev clusters, a single-node Kubernetes cluster managed by Ankra; this is rolling out. The step shows the cluster provisioning, the domain your apps will be published under, and, for a free cluster, when it ends.

If your organisation already has a playground, the step picks it up instead of creating a second one.

**2. Unlock your credit**

Click **Add payment method** to save a card. Saving it unlocks **€249 of credit, valid for 60 days**, which pays for your resources before anything is charged to the card.

> [!TIP]
>
> **You will never be charged without a top-up.** Your card is only charged when you add credit yourself. Automatic top-up stays off unless you turn it on.

We recommend turning automatic top-up on in **Billing** once you are running something you care about: when your credit runs low it adds more, so your services keep running without a pause. See [Credit and payment method](/platform/billing.md#credit-and-payment-method) for how credit is spent.

Cards are handled by Stripe; Ankra never sees your card number. You can skip this step and come back to it, but without a card a free Ankra Cloud dev cluster lasts 24 hours.

**3. Choose where the website lives**

Pick one:

* **The Ankra default** - no repository. Ankra deploys the generated site straight to your cluster as a Stack.
* **A new GitHub repository** - Ankra creates the repository in the GitHub account or organisation you choose (public or private), commits the site to it, and registers it as an [application](/concepts/applications.md). Every push to the repository is built and deployed to your cluster. This option needs a [GitHub connection](/integrations/github.md).

**4. Launch your website**

Describe the website you want in one sentence - for example *"a landing page for a neighbourhood bakery with opening hours and a contact form"*. Ankra's AI generates a complete, responsive site and deploys it to your cluster.

The step follows the site through designing, deploying and live, then links to the public address and, if you chose a repository, to the code.

## What you end up with

* A Kubernetes cluster managed by Ankra, with the Ankra agent installed and connected.
* A website served from that cluster at a public address under the cluster's domain.
* With a repository: an application whose builds and deploys run on every push, the same way as any other [application](/concepts/applications.md).

From here, everything in the [Quickstart](/get-started/quickstart.md) works on the same cluster: deploy a Stack, browse live resources, and ask Ankra's AI about what is running.

## Good to know

* Website generation uses your organisation's AI allowance. One website is generated at a time per organisation.
* Steps you cannot complete - for example adding a card without billing permissions - can be skipped. Ask a billing owner in your organisation to add the payment method.
* The free cluster is for development and evaluation. See [Playground](/guides/cluster-sandbox.md) for its limits and how long it lasts.
